Research Scientist, Retrieval & RAG

About the Role

Advance the state of the art in retrieval-augmented generation at Cohere. You will research novel retrieval methods, improve embedding models, develop RAG architectures for enterprise use cases, and publish findings at top conferences. Your work will directly impact Cohere's product offerings.

Requirements

• PhD in Machine Learning, NLP, or Information Retrieval
• Publications in retrieval, embeddings, or RAG at top venues
• Strong implementation skills in Python and PyTorch
• Experience with vector databases and search systems
• Ability to translate research into production systems
