Pre-session check-in
You do not need a working app before Week 1. We build together live. This check-in helps us know you are set up and gives the cohort a head start on feedback.
Tip
Not mandatory - but strongly recommended
If you only do two things before Thursday, do Lovable sign-up and pick your capstone. Everything else we cover in session.
What to post before Week 1
Post in Maven Student Home → General submissions, or share in the cohort WhatsApp group (WhatsApp is best for quick feedback).
**Pre-session check-in - [Your name]** • Lovable: account created / logged in (yes/no) • Capstone one-liner: [one sentence - what it does and who it's for] • Optional: link to your full seed doc • One thing I want to get out of this course: [your goal] • Blocker (if any): ["none" or what you need help with]
- Post in #intros or #submissions on Maven, or in the cohort WhatsApp group.
- Read at least two other students' capstone seeds and reply with one constructive question or encouragement.
- Add live sessions to your calendar from Maven Home (Add events to calendar, top right).

Why we ask for this
Week 1 is a live build from your capstone brief. Students who arrive with a scoped idea ship faster; students with a blank screen spend the first twenty minutes choosing. You are not behind if you have not built anything yet - you are ahead if you know what you are building.
Done when
- You posted the check-in template (or equivalent) in Maven or WhatsApp
- Your capstone one-liner is visible to the cohort
- Live sessions are on your calendar
