Tool and account setup (no code, just access)
There is no live-build setup required before the session. You can do this right after the session in about fifteen minutes.
You need exactly one thing for day one: a Lovable account. Go to lovable.dev and sign up. The free tier gives you a handful of prompts a day, which is enough to follow along. That is genuinely all you need before Week 1.
You do not need to set up a database, a backend, or a login system separately. This surprises people. Since late 2025, Lovable provisions all of that for you from inside the build (it uses a service called Supabase under the hood, but you never have to leave Lovable to touch it). So when a lesson or a blog tells you to "go set up Supabase," ignore that for now. In this course, data and auth come from inside Lovable.
You also do not need an OpenAI account, a GitHub account, or any developer tools yet. Some setup guides pile all of that on at the start. We deliberately do not, because it breaks the no-code promise and buries the one thing that matters (Lovable) under nine things that do not. The developer and evaluation tooling (Cursor, Claude Code, an Anthropic key) is genuinely useful, but it belongs in Week 2 and later, and we set it up then, in the "Before Session 2" note. Day one is Lovable and nothing else.
For community: there is no Slack channel for this cohort. Use the Maven community and, most importantly, join the WhatsApp group.
You should find the WhatsApp join link in the announcements section. If the link is not there, reach out to Dr. Aki or Manu and they will get you added.
You are ready when you can log in to lovable.dev and see the dashboard, and you are in the WhatsApp group.
